"The Bridge" is a sexual assault counseling center (SARC). A dedicated team provides medical care, emotional and psychological support and practical help for anyone who has been raped or sexually assaulted. The study "Violence against Women: Abuse at Home, Work, in Public and Online" shows that 33% of women in the EU have experienced violence since the age of 15, with one in 20 experiencing rape. 33% of women reported experiencing physical or sexual violence by an adult in their childhood. In May 2024, the European Union adopted the Directive on combating violence against women and domestic violence. The aim of this directive is to create a comprehensive framework for effectively preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence throughout the EU. The Bridge is being awarded a Health:Angel for its commitment and help. It has not yet been possible to agree a date for the award ceremony in 2024. But postponed is not canceled ....
